Completed NCT07846384

Assessment of Volumetric Changes After Socket Preservation in the Anterior Region Using Sticky Dentin Versus Sticky Bone

Conditions: Socket Preservation and Healing Following Simple, Non-surgical Extraction, Socket Preservation

Sex: All
Ages: 20 Years – 55 Years
Healthy volunteers: Yes
Phase: NA
Enrollment: 28
Sponsor: October University for Modern Sciences and Arts

Location: Faculty of Dentistry, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) Giza

Summary

After tooth extraction the alveolar ridge undergoes an unescapable physiological phase of remodeling. The major changes occur during the first three months of healing with a reduction in the dimension of the socket of about 11%-22% vertical bone loss and 29%-63% horizontal bone loss. Such dimensional change will compromise prosthetic replacement in the future, so we make alveolar ridge preservation in order to future complications

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria: 1. patient (20-55) years old 2. non-smoker 3. medically free 4. non-restorable tooth. 5. anterior zone 6. Type 1 extraction socket Exclusion Criteria: 1. medically compromised patient (uncontrolled diabetes, hyperthyroidism). 2. pregnant female. 3. history of chemo or radiotherapy
